作者简介：

约翰·斯卡尔齐，美国当代著名科幻作家和博客作家，1969年5月10日出生，毕业于芝加哥大学，现居俄亥俄州。

2005年，斯卡尔齐的处女作《垂暮之战》由美国著名科幻出版社Tor出版，随即获该年度雨果奖最佳长篇提名，斯卡尔齐本人也因此荣膺 2006年度约翰·W·坎贝尔奖最佳新人奖。

受到获奖的鼓励，斯卡尔齐又创作了《垂暮之战》的三部续作——《幽灵旅》《最后的殖民地》和《佐伊的故事》，且均受好评，其中，《最后的殖民地》获得2008年雨果奖最佳长篇提名。
